After our one to one tutorial on the 2/02/15, it was evident
that you are making good progress for your research and
planning, unfortunately there are still some outstanding tasks that need to rectify
as soon as possible. Please refer to the SMART targets that we set up previously
and have them completed for my next session.

Research and Planning - 12
Research and planning is complete, and some elements are
proficient. The research into similar products is proficient, if a little basic
at times. Ashley has shown an understanding of the
task. The research into potential target audiences is basic, and although he
does think about some demographics approaches, it is a little basic. The
organisation of actors, locations etc. is proficient, and at times excellent. The
storyboard, shot lists etc are detailed. There is a proficient level of care
and presentation.
Main Task – 48
There is evidence of excellence in some areas, and clearly
evidence of proficiency in all others. The material is appropriate for the task
and target audience. It has a clear narrative, driven by the voice over, and
the editing is excellent with many examples of jump cutting, continuity
cutting, match on action etc. These both ensure the meaning is apparent to the
audience. There is a controlled use of the camera, with a good variety of shots
and framing. The tension is built through the sound and voice-over, and the
diegetic/non-diegetic sound has been cleverly applied. The vignette is a little
heavy handed at times, and although there is a cliff-hanger at the end it is a
little too quick to be very effective. Overall though this is a very good
attempt, with many excellent qualities.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
the reason why people would go to watch a horror is because of the thrill the fact that they get scared this is so they get a Adrenalin rush form watching horror films and this is why we are targeting people aged between 16-14.
the gender of our audience will be mainly males, we mainly target these males as they are stereotypically the gender that feels the need to impress others, by watching these horror films and trying not to be scared, so we have focused on males as because they are more likely to be more thrill seeking and will go with there friends to show off. We would market our film based round gender as in by using a very action advert so they will be interested and hooked also we will make is scary so it challenges them to come and watch.
We will be arming our social class would be middle class as the lower class would priorities over things such as food and water and the upper class because they will think they are better then everyone else and they don’t need to show off they money and there class though watching a scary film but the middle class will watch this film to show off top prove themselves. The way we would market this based round social class would be though TV but we would put it on free view channels as it is free to watch TV though that. Also we would put an advert on Facebook because in the middle class most people use Facebook.
3.What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
when it comes to our film we would be a Warner brothers as this is a bigger production company and we will want more sells and this will be though a trailer on social media sites like facebook, twitter and youtube and this is becuase more and more people will use this site everyday and this means more pubblisity and this means on our opening day and when we sell tickets and films we will make more money.onother thing we will use is a poster as this is a good way to make money and it is cheaper then most things andalso we can make it digital and also not and put them on buses and bill boeards.
we created a production logo 'dark moor productions' we chose this because we wouldnt it to be related to horrow and the moor and the font we used where relaterd to horror.
